Sampering is a visayan word, it is believed that it came from the English word "SUFFERING" because when you accidentally touch it, you will suffer the itchiness on your skin.
The usual appearance of sampering is like worm but it has thin hair covering the body that causes itchiness when you touch it and half inch size like a small nail.
I found two sampering that is very unusual to me. This one is orange in color, the height is estimated reaches 2 inches, the body size is larger than a ballpen.
The other one is a normal size of usual sampering but it has like wings on the side. It looks like a dragonfly.
If you accidentally touch it do not scratch you're skin. Wash the part of the skin affected with water and soap then put baby powder.
