One of the unforgettable happening that tremble the whole philippines and specially the whole mindanao it was on December 17, 2011 when a great flash flood devastated Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City.
It was a heart breaking news that one of our neighboring place was damaged and killed many people, animals and there were lot of people still missing. It also damaged the buildings, houses and bridges.
I was also affected when one of our neighbor's son was also a victim during that tragedy and until now he was missing.
They say that the tragedy was God's well, but for me I don't believe because it was man made disaster. According to the testimonies I heard from survivors that many people could survive if there were no big lumber's floating during flash flood that crashes every houses where many people evacuated.
On my opinion it was God's warning and a wake up call that we should protect our mother nature and stop ILLEGAL LOGGING in Mindanao....
